First stage of primary data acquisition in Hungary completed
First stage of primary (field) data acquisition in Hungary completed in the course of which the relevant data of 15 on-duty clinics and 42 pharmacies were recorded.
The area covered by the data acquisition as well as the institutions concerned are illustrated in the figure below.
A significant experience gained from the data acquisition is that differences and changes compared to the secondary data are identified in the on-duty health care service sites, the operators and the time of availability. These differences are smaller in case of the on-duty clinics and greater in case of the pharmacies.
The on-duty sites were under renovation, modernisation and removal of access obstacles in several cases from grants, therefore, they operated a new site or a temporary on-duty location.
The opening hours and on-duty timetable of the pharmacies were significantly different from the secondary research results, a number of pharmacies were closed and several new units opened (e.g., Szent Rafael Pharmacy, Kazincbarcika).
It is also concluded that the on-duty timetable of the pharmacies cannot be standardised, what is more, major differences are identified fundamentally and also with respect to principles.
Primary data collection will continue in the coming month in parallel with the IT development operations.
The applications are expected to be ready by September, 2014, therefore, their use may start already this year.
