The implementation of the Health Info project has reached another milestone

The implementation of the shared online on-duty health care service monitoring system for handling the emergency situations, that is, the Health Info project has reached another significant milestone.

The contract for the IT development has been signed recently in the framework of which the applications will be developed to allow the access to and queries into the on-duty health care service data. The target groups may access the application through the most popular platforms (iOS, android, Windowsphone) and on the web.

The ‘on-duty health care service monitoring’ system to be developed in the framework of the project is to provide up to the minute data about the on-duty health care and pharmacy services available on the selected areas of Hungary and Slovakia (Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County and Kosice County).

At this time, no services of such kind are available either in Hungary or Slovakia, therefore, its design and introduction can be considered as innovative in the two countries.

The significance of the application is that it provides up-to-date data about the on-duty health care services available and provides a list of the on-duty health care service providers, which are the nearest and can be accessed fastest.

By means of the services, the people living and working in the area as well as the visitors may have a greater level of safety in case of eventual emergencies.

The applications will be completed by September, 2014, therefore, their use may start already this year.
