The collection of data of the on-duty services continued in June
Collection of the on-duty data in the primary manner (in the field) was started in June – based upon the results of the secondary data acquisition.
Primary data acquisition is of great significance as we expect that important insights can be gained in the course of that activity about the reliability of the secondary data, the correlations and rules in the organisation of on-duty medical services, the openness and willingness for cooperation of the various institutions. Moreover, the GPS coordinates of the institutions in question will be recorded and photo documents shall also be taken up.
An essential aspect of scheduling was that the settlements of Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County having on-duty medical services, particularly the areas along the border, are processed already in the first stage in the sample area. Its aim partly was to identify as many as possible of the practical problems for the starting IT development, with the identification of the actual situations and partly to check whether the continuous health-care reorganisations going on in Hungary had an impact on the practice of on-duty health care services along the national borders. The same principle has also been applied to the pharmacies close to the on-duty health care locations.
The work will be continued with primary data collection and the simultaneous IT development.
The on-duty health care service monitoring system is scheduled to be completed by September, 2014, therefore, it will be available for use already this year.
